After a water-full childhood on the Dutch waters, followed by many years of sailing on international seas, next to his job as architect and product designer, Jan founded Saltyboys Sailing Cruises in 2012. Becoming such a Saltyboy is no surprise being a grandson of Adriaan van der Klooster, captain of North-Sea rescue vessel Prins der Nederlanden in the Hook of Holland. Saltyboys Sailing Cruises are about sharing the pleasures of sailing in good international male company, experiencing the world from a most delightful (free and mostly naked) point of view.
With almost all Saltyboys returning every year, we figured we must be doing something good!
